Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

Atlas Studio is committed to making ARBK Atlas usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing engineering requirement, not a one-off project: we test and improve the product on a continual basis and welcome reports of any barrier you encounter.

2. Conformance target

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines also underpin the European standard EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).

3. Conformance status

ARBK Atlas is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that most of the product meets the standard, but some content or components do not yet fully conform. We are actively remediating the remaining gaps; the most significant known items are listed in Known limitations below.

4. Measures we take

• Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and landmark regions.
• Full keyboard operability for navigation, search, filters, menus and dialogs, including focus traps and Escape-to-close on overlays.
• A visible keyboard focus indicator on interactive elements.
• Colour contrast tuned against WCAG AA thresholds in both the dark and light themes.
• Data visualisations (charts) ship a screen-reader-readable data table alongside the visual chart.
• Respect for the operating-system prefers-reduced-motion and forced-colors (high-contrast) settings.
• Text resizing and reflow support; responsive layouts down to small screens.
• Form fields with associated labels and inline, programmatically-associated error messages.
• ARIA roles and properties on custom components (comboboxes, menus, tabs) where native semantics are insufficient.

5. Compatibility

ARBK Atlas is designed to work with recent versions of:

• Major browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile.
• Screen readers paired with those browsers, including VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA and JAWS (Windows), and TalkBack (Android).
• Operating-system zoom, browser zoom up to 200%, and reduced-motion / high-contrast preferences.

The application requires JavaScript. It is not specifically tested against browsers more than two major versions old.

6. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, the following areas may present barriers. We are working to resolve them:

• Interactive map and ownership-graph: the canvas-based map and force-directed graph are primarily pointer-driven. We provide list-based and tabular alternatives for the underlying data.
• Some data visualisations: a few charts still rely on colour to distinguish categories. We are adding non-colour encoding (labels, patterns) and each chart already exposes its data as a table.
• Third-party and embedded content: content served by payment or analytics providers is outside our direct control, though we choose vendors with accessibility in mind.
• Source data: business records are reproduced from official registries and may contain inconsistent formatting that we cannot alter without changing the underlying record.

Please describe the problem, the page URL, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to propose a remedy or timeline thereafter.

8. Enforcement and escalation

If you contact us about an accessibility problem and are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the competent authority in your jurisdiction. For users in the European Union, the European Accessibility Act is enforced by the designated national authority of your member state. We will cooperate in good faith with any such enquiry.

9. How we assess

This statement is based on a self-evaluation of ARBK Atlas combining automated testing (axe-core / Lighthouse), manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and a structured review of the interface against the WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria. It has not been audited by an independent third party. A detailed conformance report (VPAT/ACR) is available to Enterprise customers and prospective partners on request.
